Project Delayed

I made these photographs way back on Labor Day weekend 2011 (note the still-green trees). That's five months ago now. It was early on a misty Saturday morning, and I was walking around downtown Asheville with my camera. I mostly had the streets to myself. I ended up on Lexington Avenue where some very "hip" and colorful shops are located. I had wanted to photograph these store fronts before, but bright, sunny afternoons didn't provide the right light to show the colors to their best effect. The soft, diffuse light from the overcast sky now made it a great time to photograph these quirky store fronts. I had it in mind to post all these together as a collection, but it's taken me this long to do the final editing. So here they are, better late than never.(Click on photos to enlarge.)

That looks like a funky and fun place to look around.
Love the bright windows.
Good stuff John.
Absolutely better late than never.
