Bar, Knoxville, TN  -  2012

I've been spending quite some time with my Mother in the hospital in Knoxville, and after eating in the hospital cafeteria a few times, I decided it was time for a new venue. I was told there was a Wendy's within walking distance, and a salad sounded like a good change of pace. So I made the three-block walk to stretch my legs and get a little fresh air.  The colors and textures of this bar on Cumberland Avenue caught my eye as I walked past, and since the A2000 was in my pocket. I was able to make this tightly cropped  photo. As expected, I got some "Why is he taking a picture of that?" looks, but I've learned to just smile and keep on shooting.

Really like the flag statement.
Don't you love the stares when taking different shots?
I hope your Mom is doing better and I'm glad she is close enough that you can visit her. I know it must mean a lot to her.
