Grocery's?

Convenience Store Sign
Madison County, NC - 2009

It's time for a rant. One area where our schools are failing is in the proper use of the apostrophe. I see it all the time, even on professionally painted signs: using an apostrophe to make a plural. It's "groceries", not "grocery's", people! Notice, however, that they got "cold drinks" right. No misplaced apostrophe there. And I guess this store has only one "snack" available. Go figure. Things like this drive me nuts too. I'm not to good on proper grammer but I do know where to put the apostrophe most of the time.
