Cone Flower Petals

Some of you may remember the old Clairol hair coloring commercials with the slogan, "Only her hairdresser knows for sure." Clairol wanted to convey that their hair colors were so natural that you wouldn't know it was a dye job unless the hair dyer confessed.

Well, on this blog I confess to my readers. I don't tell you I intended the photo to come out this way if it was really a screw up. I let you know when I screw up. On this photo I screwed up. My focus was off. Focusing on macro shots can be an iffy thing, but that's no excuse. I just blew it. I did like the composition of these petals from two adjacent cone flowers, so I added some soft focus, tinkered with the color, and a photo salvage was born! (Click on photo to enlarge.)
